Terms & Conditions

Please read before booking. These Terms govern every rental we provide. By placing an order online, over the phone, or in person, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
Agreement to Terms
These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you and Hansen Dumpster Rentals. By booking a dumpster rental, signing a rental agreement, or accepting delivery of a roll-off container, you agree to these Terms.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Rental Period & Pricing
Rental Period
Our standard rental periods are 1, 3, or 7 days, beginning on the date of delivery. You select your period at the time of booking. Extension days may be available for $20 per additional day, subject to truck and bin availability. Please call before the original pickup date if you need an extension.
Pricing
The rental price you confirm at booking includes delivery within our standard service area, pickup, hauling, dump fees, and the included tonnage allowance for the bin size you selected. Pricing does not include overage fees, prohibited item charges, fees for blocked pickups, or extended rental days, all of which are addressed below.
Tonnage & Overages
Each bin size includes a specific tonnage allowance:
Loads exceeding the included tonnage are charged at $75 per additional ton, billed on the actual scaled weight at the disposal facility. Weight tickets are available upon request.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods displayed at checkout. All amounts are in US dollars. Overage charges, extension fees, and any additional fees will be billed to the payment method on file.
Customer Responsibilities
As the customer, you agree to the following:
Your responsibilities at a glance
- Placement permission — You confirm you have the legal right to have the dumpster placed at the specified location, whether you own the property or have permission from the owner.
- Clear access — You will provide a safe, unobstructed delivery path with adequate overhead clearance (typically 25 feet vertical and 12 feet wide). Trees, low wires, gates, or parked vehicles blocking the path may result in failed delivery and additional fees.
- Surface condition — Placing a dumpster on a driveway, lawn, or other surface may cause cosmetic marks, indentations, or cracking. Hansen is not responsible for damage to driveways, walkways, lawns, sprinkler systems, septic lines, or underground utilities.
- Permits — If the dumpster is being placed on a public street or right-of-way, obtaining the necessary permits is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise arranged in writing.
- Loading limits — Debris must be loaded level with the top of the bin walls. Overloaded bins are unsafe and illegal to transport, and may be refused at pickup or require partial unloading at the customer’s expense.
- Weight distribution — Heavy materials (dirt, concrete, brick, roofing) should be distributed evenly across the bin to maintain safe load balance.
- Access on pickup — The dumpster must be accessible for pickup at the agreed time. Blocked or inaccessible bins resulting in a return trip will incur a trip charge equal to the standard delivery fee.
Acceptable & Prohibited Materials
Acceptable Materials
Our roll-off dumpsters accept common construction, demolition, household, and yard waste, including:
- Furniture and household goods
- Wood, drywall, flooring, and general construction debris
- Yard waste, branches, and clean dirt
- Cardboard, packaging, and non-hazardous trash
- Asphalt shingles and roofing materials (clean loads only)
Accepted With an Additional Fee
The following items are accepted, but carry an additional disposal fee. Let us know at booking if your load includes any of these:
- Mattresses and box springs
- Appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, and dryers
Heavy materials note: Loads containing only heavy materials (dirt, concrete, brick, or roofing) have stricter weight limits. Call us before booking if your load is heavy-material-only so we can recommend the right size and pricing.
Prohibited Materials
The following items are prohibited from all Hansen dumpsters by law and by company policy. Loading any of these will result in additional charges, return of the items at the customer’s expense, and may result in fines from disposal facilities or regulatory authorities.
Items We Cannot Accept
- Hazardous waste of any kind
- Liquid waste, oil, fuel, or solvents
- Paint (unless fully dried)
- Asbestos or asbestos materials
- Batteries (auto or household)
- Propane tanks, pressurized containers
- Medical waste, syringes, biohazards
- Animal carcasses
- Contaminated soil
- Electronics (e-waste)
- Railroad ties
- Anything banned at landfill by law
If unsure whether an item is allowed, please call (435) 610-1333 before adding it to the bin. We’re glad to help you find proper disposal channels for items we cannot accept.
Cancellations, Reschedules & Refunds
Cancellations
You may cancel a booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before delivery may be subject to a service fee to cover scheduling and dispatch costs. Once the dumpster has been delivered, the rental period and full fee apply regardless of whether the bin is used.
Reschedules
Delivery and pickup dates may be rescheduled subject to truck and inventory availability. Please give us at least 24 hours notice for reschedule requests when possible.
Weather & Force Majeure
Severe weather, road closures, mechanical issues, or other events beyond our control may cause delays. In such cases, we will reschedule at the earliest available time and will not be liable for indirect costs or consequential damages resulting from the delay.
Liability & Limitations
Property Damage
Customer acknowledges that placing a heavy roll-off dumpster on any surface may cause cosmetic or structural marks. By accepting delivery, customer releases Hansen Dumpster Rentals from liability for damage to driveways, walkways, lawns, landscaping, or underground systems, except in cases of gross negligence.
Limitation of Liability
Important: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hansen’s total liability under any rental shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the rental in question. Hansen is not liable for lost profits, lost business opportunities, or damages arising from delays or third-party actions.
Customer Responsibility for Contents
Customer is solely responsible for the contents of the dumpster from delivery through pickup. Customer indemnifies Hansen against any claims, fines, or losses arising from items loaded into the bin, including prohibited materials or items belonging to third parties.
No Warranties
Hansen’s services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the bin will be the perfect size for your project or that pickup will occur at an exact time.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hansen Dumpster Rentals, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
Scope of indemnification
- Your violation of these Terms
- Materials loaded into a Hansen dumpster
- Injuries or damages occurring on the property where the dumpster is placed
- Any misrepresentation regarding your authority to place the dumpster on the chosen property
- Violation of any law or third-party rights
Service Area
Hansen Dumpster Rentals delivers throughout designated service areas in Utah County, Tooele County, and Juab County, Utah. Specific cities served include Provo, Spanish Fork, Saratoga Springs, Santaquin, and Tooele, with a delivery radius extending approximately 25 miles from our yard in Elberta. Out-of-area delivery may be available subject to additional fees. Contact us to discuss.
Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Governing Law & Disputes
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
Dispute Resolution
Before filing any formal legal action, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through direct communication. Please contact us first at hansendumpsters@gmail.com or (435) 610-1333.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any rental confirmation you receive, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hansen Dumpster Rentals. They supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications. No verbal modifications by drivers or sales staff are binding unless confirmed in writing by Hansen.
